In a picturesque valley of the Svatava River, seven kilometers before its confluence with the largest river of the Ore Mountain foothills, the Ohře, the ruins of a castle, formerly a castle and château Hartenberg, rise on a steep promontory. In the past, the castle was besieged and conquered, plundered and shaken by earthquake swarms, and more than once ended up in flames. The last time occurred between 1985 and 1991, when the main palace, courtyard buildings, and finally the tower were gradually set on fire. This unique structure is still recovering from this blow.
