The museum is located in a beautiful baroque villa from the 18th century, known as the America Summer Palace, commissioned by Count Václav Michna. Since 1932, it has housed an exhibition dedicated to the life and work of one of the most important Czech music composers – Antonín Dvořák.
You can view a unique collection of manuscripts, correspondence, photographs, and personal items. Also included are Dvořák's Bösendorfer piano and scores of his most famous works, including the New World Symphony. The atmosphere is enhanced by period interiors and stylish halls.
In addition to the permanent exhibition, the museum hosts concerts, lectures, and temporary exhibitions. There is also a beautiful garden with sculptures, ideal for relaxation in the heart of Prague. We recommend using the audio guide, available in Czech and English.
